This is a one of a kind figurine made by me with sapele wood with acrylic accents and printed wood (faces).
These figures are called Vejigantes. During festivals, people will dress up in costumes like these. They are popular in Puerto Rican art. Many masks are made from paper mache or painted on coconuts.
The base of the figure is in the shape of the island of Puerto Rico.
These are larger standing approximately 9.25 inches high and 7.5 inches wide. The base is about 2 inches deep.
Each figure’s accents will be different colors. This guarantees that no one else will have one just like yours. Please feel free to ask questions or let me know if you have a preferred color scheme.
The Figure will be shipped flat. It will fit snugly in its base upon arrival to your home.
