Wepa! These are Vejigante masks worn in Puerto Rico during the festival. They were originally created to scare pirates from raiding the island. They are now a symbol of Puerto Rico and are famous around the island. They are often usually handcrafted in paper mache or painted in higuera or coconut shells.
I decided to craft these on printed acrylic and they have quickly become a popular item especially because each pair is unique in color. There are several designs that come in different sizes. Please have a look around.

These are sealed on the back, but they should be treated carefully. They do not love water and could be scratched if not careful.
They hang on silver plated ear wires. They are free from lead a nickel.
